Ready to increase your reach and grow your Instagram account? Letâs dive in.
Flickâs Instagram Hashtag Metrics:
Letâs begin with the basics and the definitions of the items you might see in Flickâs Hashtag Metrics Suite. Youâll find these numbers when you start searching for a particular hashtag on our platform.
Competition Score
This is how difficult it will be to rank in the âTop Postsâ feed under that hashtag. The score compares the hashtagâs potential audience size to all the other hashtags in our database. Plus, it includes the experience other Flick users have had using that hashtag.
Potential Reach
This metric lets you know the estimated amount of people youâre likely to reach if you rank on the hashtag. The score compares the hashtagâs potential audience size to all the other hashtags in our database, plus the experience Flick users have had using the hashtag.
DAPC (Daily Average Post Count)
The number of daily posts that use that particular hashtag (based on the last 7 days).
Average Likes
The average number of likes a post gets that ranks under that hashtag.
Total Posts
The total number of posts under that hashtag.
Average Comments
The average number of comments a post gets that ranks under that hashtag.
Hashtag Performance Metrics
Now that you understand how to read the metrics underneath hashtags, itâs time for you to understand how well your particular hashtags performed.
After you have started using hashtags, youâll notice that we keep track of all the hashtags you use. Under âCollectionsâ on the left-hand side of the screen, youâll notice a tab called âHashtags Used.â From here, youâll find all the hashtags youâve used on Instagram, plus the metrics on how well you performed with those hashtags. Here is everything you need to know about your Hashtag Performance Metrics:
Times used
This is the number of times you have used that particular hashtag.
Times ranked
The number of posts you made using that hashtag ranked in the top 100 posts for that hashtag.
Rank ratio
The percentage of times you ranked in the top 100 posts under that hashtag.
Average best rank
The smaller this number is, the better! For every post that ranks on a hashtag, we take the highest it ranked under the hashtag and then average that across all your posts.
