Here’s this week’s roundup of news—the good, the bad, and the weird!

Meta has been working hard on making Threads the place for people … to shout into the void. Kidding, kinda.

In a brand new release, Threads now has a whole list of updates to make engaging and being on Threads more fun.

Let’s dig into each update:

• Interest Topics: You can now highlight what topics you’re interested in and what you talk about on your own Threads page at the top of your profile. This is a simple way for people, who don’t know you, to see what content they’re likely to get if they follow you.
• Options for managing posts: You can now have more control over who can reply and quote-post your content. If you only want followers to be able to interact with your content, you can change that setting easily.
• Customized feeds: Have a custom feed you love and want to see it first? You can now make any custom feed the default feed when you open the app.
• Improved videos: Videos are getting better and better! You can now pause, play and skip on videos. Who knew that would be something we were desperate for?

And that’s it! While it might not seem like much, they are big features and show that Threads is really thinking of ways to get users to stay on the app.
