Well, looky, looky, here. Instagram has officially launched its Creator Marketplace!

The Zuckerberg, CEO of that lovely place called the Meta stated that they are “testing a set place on Instagram where creators can get discovered and paid, and where brands can share new partnership opportunities.”

What in the world does this mean?

It means that Meta is finally making a more streamlined way for brands and content creators to make some serious money on the app.

This news isn’t a huge shock for those following Adam Mosseri’s updates recently, like him talking about how Instagram wants to be a creators-first app.

What is the Instagram Creator Marketplace?

It’s kind of exactly what it sounds like: a place for brands and creators to find, connect and start working with each other.

Through this platform, creators can get seriously paid and seek relevant partnership opportunities with brands and businesses that align with them.

And yes, this is exactly like TikTok’s Creator Marketplace. Like, exactly like it.

How does the Instagram Creator Marketplace work?

Okay, okay, so how will it work exactly? A brand can discover a content creator through Instagram’s discovery feature and then can message the creator by saying something like, “Hey! We really like you! Work with us, pls?!”

The brand can also send over some project details like deliverables, rates, and payments (without getting a third-party involved!).

We’re excited to see this roll out and have more efficient ways for brands and creators to work with one another in an easier way!
