Ring the alarms! Instagram is officially allowing product tagging to all users in the US.

Alexandru Voica, Meta’s Communications Manager, announced on Twitter: “Everyone can now tag products on @instagram. Rolling out in the US over the next few months, product tags make it easier for people to share and discover products from brands and small businesses they love.”

What does this mean for users? Well, next time you are posting your favorite ‘fit or make-up look, you can now tag the items in your photo! So that cute dress you recently bought from Reformation? Tag it so others can shop the look too!

With this new feature, it’s now creating way more ways for users to easily shop on Instagram and can majorly help small businesses get even more revenue coming through their door.

If you’re confused about why this feature is going to be rolled out to all users, it’s a pretty simple answer: purchasing in-app will probably increase dramatically with everyone being able to tag where their items are from.
